Speaker Profile

Lim Teik Leong - 67, has been teaching English for 45 years till he retired as a lecturer at Universiti Malaya. He was also a scriptwriter and actor for TV Pendidikan in the 1980s. Since 1998, Lim has been busy giving workshops on public speaking, drama, speech training and teaching techniques.

During his university days he developed a fascination for videography. Today with the availability of free Internet video editing tools, Lim enjoys making videos and sharing them with others. He is willing to teach our Seniorsaloud community how to edit and upload videos for educational purposes. “It is really easy and a cost-effective way of teaching,” says Lim.

"Photography is a visual essay without sounds," explains Lim, who took it up in the late 80s. But he prefers videography as it can capture movements and sounds. This is a great opportunity for seniors to learn from another senior how to improve on our videography skills.
